Hypefury and Typefully both started out as writing and scheduling tools for X (Twitter) creators. In October 2026 they differ on a basic point: Hypefury's FAQ says it no longer supports X, while X is still the first platform Typefully lists. This comparison covers which networks each supports, what each costs, and how each handles ghostwriters and teams. It's based only on each vendor's pricing page and FAQ.

Pricing checked October 2026 from the vendor's site; confirm current pricing on their site.

Quick summary

  • If you post to X: Typefully supports X. Hypefury's FAQ answers “Does Hypefury still support 𝕏/Twitter?” with “Nope!”
  • If you post to Instagram or TikTok: Hypefury lists both. Typefully's pricing page doesn't.
  • If you want a free plan: Typefully has one (10 posts a month). Hypefury doesn't, but offers a 7-day trial with no card.
  • If a ghostwriter or team needs access: Hypefury's FAQ says you can invite a ghostwriter or VA. On Typefully, extra users, teams, and permissions are only on Business.

Pricing

USD, from each vendor's pricing page, checked October 2026. Both pages use billing toggles. We read the monthly and yearly prices from each toggle. Typefully's prices load with JavaScript, so we read them from its pricing page as displayed in a browser.
PlanHypefuryTypefully
FreeNo free plan$0: 1 social set, 1 user, 10 posts/month, limited media uploads
Entry paidFlexible: $6/month for 1 channel, plus $6/month for each additional platform, up to 5 channels. On yearly billing, Hypefury's channel calculator shows $5/month per channel.Creator: $99/year (annual billing only); 1 social set, 1 user, 1,000 posts/month, X analytics, AI writing features
Upper paidFull: $19/month, or $199/year; all channels includedBusiness: $20/month per social set, or $18/month per social set billed yearly; 1,500 posts/month, up to 50 social sets, unlimited users
Trial7-day free trial, no credit card requiredFree plan instead of a trial

Notes: Typefully prices Business “per social set”; check Typefully's pricing page for exactly what a social set covers. Hypefury's FAQ also mentions a 7-day trial “on our Starter plan,” but the pricing page lists only Flexible and Full.

Using Hypefury's monthly prices, Flexible with 3 channels comes to $18/month, compared with $19/month for Full with every channel. Beyond 3 channels, Full costs less. This is our arithmetic from the published prices.

Ghostwriters and teams

  • Hypefury: its FAQ says “you can invite your ghostwriter or virtual assistant (VA).” The pricing page doesn't say whether that depends on the plan or how many people you can invite, so check with Hypefury if you need several collaborators.
  • Typefully: anyone can share drafts for comments. Teams, extra users, user permissions, and Slack channel notifications are Business-only. Free and Creator include 1 user each.

How to choose

  1. List your networks. If X, Mastodon, or Substack is on the list, Hypefury's network list won't cover it. If Instagram or TikTok is, Typefully's won't.
  2. Count your channels. On Hypefury, compare Flexible at $6 per channel with Full at $19 for all channels.
  3. Count your people. A second user on Typefully means Business. On Hypefury, confirm how ghostwriter access works for your plan.
  4. Try before paying. Typefully has a Free plan, and Hypefury's 7-day trial needs no credit card.
