Smartlead lets agencies give clients access to the app under the agency's own subdomain, logo, and branding. This guide covers what that includes, which plans support it, what it costs per client, and how Smartlead says to set it up. Everything here comes from Smartlead's pricing page and help center. For contrast, we also summarize Instantly's agency portal from Instantly's own documentation.

Pricing checked October 2026 from the vendor's site; confirm current pricing on their site.

Quick summary

  • Plan requirement: Pro or higher. Base doesn't include client workspaces.
  • Per-client cost: Smartlead's pricing FAQ lists white labeling as an add-on at $29/month per client workspace. Unlimited Prime includes 3 client workspaces.
  • Setup isn't self-serve: Smartlead's help center says white labeling is off by default. You ask chat support to turn it on, give them a subdomain, and add the DNS records they send.
  • Marketing claims: Smartlead's white-label page calls it the “#1 white-label cold email platform.” That's the vendor's own claim. We haven't verified it, and it isn't the basis of this guide.

What white labeling includes

According to Smartlead's help center:

  • Your domain and branding. Clients reach the app on your subdomain (for example, app.yourdomain.com) with your logo. Smartlead says the white-label settings are under Profile > Settings > Whitelabel Settings.
  • Full or restricted client access. You can give clients full access or limited permissions. Smartlead also describes a reply-only mode, and you can hide chosen reply categories (for example, “Not Interested”) from a client.
  • Per-client credits. You can set email and lead credit allowances for each client and see each client's total usage.
  • Per-client scoping. You assign campaigns and email accounts to a client. Smartlead says that a client who logs in sees only the campaigns and email accounts assigned to them.
  • Reselling. Smartlead says you can resell access to white-labeled clients on your own billing cycle. Your own pricing to clients is up to you. Smartlead doesn't bill them.

Which plans include it

Smartlead plans (USD), from Smartlead's pricing page and its “Smartlead Pricing Plans” help article, checked October 2026.
PlanMonthly billingBilled annuallySends / contactsClient workspaces
Base$39/month$32/month6,000 sends/month, 2,000 contactsNot included
Pro$94/month$78/month90,000 sends/month, 30,000 contactsAdd-on, $29/month each
Unlimited Smart$174/month$144/month150,000 sends/month, unlimited contactsAdd-on, $29/month each
Unlimited Prime$379/month$315/month500,000 sends/month, unlimited contacts3 included (pricing table shows “3+ included”)

Smartlead says yearly billing saves 17% across all plans. Its pricing page also showed a promotion of 50% off the first month when we checked. Smartlead's help article on white labeling says it's “only available” on Pro and higher.

Cost per client

This is our arithmetic, using monthly-billing plan prices plus the $29/month per-client add-on. Smartlead doesn't say whether the add-on price changes with annual billing, so we haven't assumed it does.

Estimated monthly cost (USD) before taxes and other add-ons. Not a quote.
ClientsPro ($94 + $29 per client)Unlimited Smart ($174 + $29 per client)Unlimited Prime ($379, 3 included)
1$123$203$379
3$181$261$379
5$239$319Not published: Smartlead doesn't list the price for clients beyond the 3 included
10$384$464Not published

Sending volume often decides the plan before client count does: Pro allows 90,000 sends a month across all clients combined. If your clients together need more, the per-client math on Unlimited Smart or Prime matters more than the add-on price.

Setup steps

From Smartlead's help articles “White Labeling: Steps and Considerations” and “Agency View & Client Access”:

  1. Confirm your plan. You need Pro or higher.
  2. Contact chat support. White labeling is off by default, and support enables it on request.
  3. Choose a subdomain you control the DNS for, such as app.youragency.com, and send it to support.
  4. Add the DNS records. Support sends a TXT record and a CNAME record. Add them at your DNS host, then confirm with support so they can activate the subdomain.
  5. Brand it. Upload your logo in the white-label settings. Smartlead links a guide on hosting the image.
  6. Add each client. Go to Client Access > Add Client, enter the client's details and your company name, choose full or limited permissions, pick any reply categories to hide, and optionally set email and lead credits.
  7. Assign work. Pick the client in a campaign's General Settings, or use the campaign's menu to allocate it. Assign email accounts under Email Accounts > Management.
